Terms of Service

Working together: the essentials.

Last updated: 28 June 2026

These Terms set out the basis on which I provide coaching services. They are written to be clear and fair, not to catch you out. By booking a session with me, you agree to these Terms. Please read them, and ask me anything that is unclear.

About me

Samuel Angus, Personal & Professional Development Coach, trading as Samuel Angus Coaching.

1What coaching is, and what it is not

Coaching is a structured, forward-looking conversation that helps you gain clarity, set goals, and move toward what you want. I work on the principle that the answers are usually already within you, and my role is to help draw them out.

Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical care. It is not a treatment for mental health conditions, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

If something comes up in our work that would be better supported by a different kind of professional, I will say so. Where appropriate, I may suggest you speak with your GP, a counsellor, or another suitable professional. You remain responsible for your own decisions, wellbeing, and actions.

2Sessions and how we work

Coaching sessions are delivered online via Zoom. Your first conversation is a 45-minute Discovery Session. Ongoing coaching is delivered through the Momentum Coaching Programme: a fortnightly live session via Zoom (50 minutes), alternating with a guided reflection week in which you receive a personalised prompt and a voice note response from me. Messaging support is available throughout as described below.

You are responsible for joining sessions at the agreed time, in a private space with a reliable connection. If you are running late, the session will still end at the scheduled time so as not to affect others.

3Messaging support between sessions

Weekly coaching includes messaging support between sessions, so you are never carrying things alone. To keep this sustainable and effective, please note:

4Fees and payment

My current fees are shown on my website. The Discovery Session is charged at the rate shown at the time of booking. Weekly coaching is charged at the standard or concession rate as agreed.

Payment is due in advance of each session or as otherwise agreed. Sessions are confirmed once payment is received.

5Concession rate eligibility

I offer a concession rate to make coaching more accessible to three groups: students, NHS staff (including those recently retired), and members of recognised faith communities. The concession rate is offered in good faith and on the following basis:

6Cancellation and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice through the booking link in your confirmation, so the time can be offered to someone else.

7Confidentiality

What you share with me is treated as confidential, and I handle your information in line with my Privacy Policy. There are limited circumstances where I may need to share information without your consent, for example if I believe there is a serious risk to your safety or the safety of others, or where I am required to by law. Wherever possible, I would discuss this with you first.

8Your commitment

Coaching works best when you engage with it openly and honestly. You are responsible for the actions you choose to take and the decisions you make as a result of our work. Coaching does not guarantee any particular outcome: the results depend on many factors, including your own engagement and circumstances.

9Ending our work together

You are free to end our coaching relationship at any time. I may also bring it to a close if I believe coaching is no longer the right support for you, if these Terms are breached, or if a respectful working relationship is no longer possible. Where this happens, I will explain my reasons and, where appropriate, suggest alternative sources of support.

10Liability

I provide coaching in good faith and with professional care. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any decisions you make or actions you take as a result of coaching. Nothing in these Terms limits my liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Any change will apply to bookings made after the update.

12Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Questions? If anything here is unclear, please ask before booking. I would always rather we both start with a shared understanding. Contact me at info@samuelanguscoach.co.uk.
