This agreement sets out the terms of the coaching relationship between Samuel Angus (the Coach) and the client named below. Please read it carefully. By signing or confirming agreement electronically you are indicating that you understand and accept these terms.
The coaching relationship
Coaching is a collaborative and structured process designed to support personal and professional development. It is distinct from counselling, therapy, or mentoring. The coach does not provide advice, diagnoses, or therapeutic treatment.
The coach's role is to ask questions, facilitate reflection, and support the client in identifying their own direction, clarity, and goals. The client retains full responsibility for the decisions and actions they take as a result of coaching.
Sessions and scheduling
Sessions are conducted online via Google Meet or in person in Leeds by prior arrangement. Each session is 60 minutes in duration unless otherwise agreed.
Sessions are booked through Calendly at calendly.com/samuelanguscoach-info. A confirmation email is sent automatically upon booking.
If you need to cancel or reschedule please do so at least 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged at the full session rate.
Fees and payment
Current introductory rates — applicable during the post-qualifying practice period:
Single Session — £50
Clarity & Direction (4 sessions) — £100
Focused Development Programme (6 sessions) — £250
Payment is due prior to or on the date of the first session in a programme, or prior to a single session. Payment is made by bank transfer to the details provided upon booking.
Rates will move to full professional pricing following the completion of post-qualifying practice hours. Clients who have commenced a programme at the introductory rate will retain that rate for the duration of their agreed programme.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed within coaching sessions is held in strict confidence. Information shared by the client will not be disclosed to any third party without the client's explicit consent.
There are two exceptions to this confidentiality commitment:
First — if the coach reasonably believes there is a serious risk of harm to the client or another person, they may be required to take appropriate action, which could include contacting relevant authorities.
Second — the coach participates in professional supervision. Session content may be discussed with a supervisor in an anonymised form for the purposes of reflective practice and professional development. No identifying information will be disclosed.
Professional boundaries
The coaching relationship is a professional one. The coach is committed to maintaining appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
If at any point the coach considers that the client's needs would be better met by a different form of support — such as counselling, therapy, or medical advice — they will say so and may suggest appropriate referral.
Either party may bring the coaching relationship to an end at any time by giving reasonable notice. In such circumstances any unused sessions from a prepaid programme will be refunded.
